Yes we all know Searing Flame is the l337 now, but having played with it the past two days, it is really great. That's not the main reason why I'm posting this though, but the synergy of these four skills have made eles fun for me again. A few comments about things I found (assuming 16 fire attribute of course)
Glowing Gaze costs 5 to cast, but with fire attunement up and a burning target, returns 12. That's a profit of 7 mana.
Glyph of Lesser Energy costs 5 to use and recharges in 30 seconds, makes the next TWO spells cost 15 less. What I found out today is that not only does the next two spells cost 15 less, fire attunement still gives you energy back as if you spent it! So if you spammed 2 Searing Flames in a row, you have saved 30 mana AND gotten back 12 mana (6 each) from fire attunement.
Searing Flame. 15 to cast, 1 casting time, 2 recharge. Very spammable. Either burning or the damage is great. Honestly, the burning does more damage sometimes than the direct damage because it ignores armor.
Fire attunement, returns 30% + 1 energy for each cast spell.
So basically keep fire attunement up. Start with a Searing Flame (costs 9 with attunement), follow with a gaze (gain 7, you are down 2), Searing Flame (down 11), Glyph (down 16), 2 Searing Flames (gain 6 each, total down 4). This is not including your energy regen. I end most battles now with 2/3 or full tank of energy.
As aside, I carry fireball and meteor swarm, along with capture signet and ress skill. Searing flame doesn't always hit for the damage, so sometimes I like to toss a fireball in, and meteor swarm is still good for repeated strikes on bosses, who do not run if surrounded by minions and heroes.
Send heroes in first so your fire attunement has less of a chance to get stripped. Cast fire attunement before it ends and you get 4 mana back, costing you only 6 mana.
Anyways, just sharing
