It started for me Friday night. Lagging so bad at times I could not even move around, I would just freeze (and subsequently die). I tried a few quests with some guild members, but got DC'd (or 007'd in GW speak) on one of them. Saturday and Sunday were not really any better. I blamed it on server load with the Nightfall preview, but even as of Monday night it was still pretty bad.

I have read the boards at gwonline and gwguru, and it seems it is still being "looked into".

I was just wondering if anyone here was experiencing the same thing?

We've moved here from 007'd, to james bond.  It seems so much more appealing then the just the number.

As for the lag, I have been having some, expecially last night, but that was on my end.

Yes I have had more then normal lag, and the hour glass icon in the spells bar, and the no sound or partical effects of enchantments at first cast after zoning into a new area. So they broke something during the NF preview, they will fix it.............someday. Lips Sealed

I haven't been online since Sunday but I haven't had any extreme lag.  I have had instances prior to Night Fall previews where the lag was so bad, I'd type a message and nothing would move on the screen or be displayed until 4 minutes later.

I started having really bad lag too since last Friday. Sometimes the action would stop for long periods of time, sometimes I seemed to get stuck in a certain area: moving forward and then returning to a spot I had started from, kinda cycling though the same area with no way to get out. On occasion my cable modem would shut down or reset. I've essentially avoided joining groups over the past few days due to the unreliability of my connection. Very frustrating, but things seem to be much better recently. Haven't had any problems for a couple of days. I also took my cable modem in for a replacement just in case. I like the new modem, it's kinda "cute".  Grin

Last night Comcast had MAJOR routing issues in the north-east.  Basically [from what I've read] it was all Google's fault for hogging soo much bandwidth that re-routing wasn't even working.  The bandwidth providers are thinking of charging Google more for the enormous amounts of bandwidth they use. Would be okay with me; Larry Page, Google CEO made roughly $1million/hour last year. I'm pretty sure they can swing it, or maybe they'll start charging users for use of their FREE onling apps.
F.Y.I. I've been using Google since '99, and I still love it to bits and peices.

I barely even noticed all of this because I was getting randomly disconnected from my network every 10 minutes. Then 5 minutes. Then every 2 minutes, and I was able to narrow the problem to be exclusively the router.  After around 30 minutes of emergency care it had lost too much blood already, and quickly succumed. Wrong. Sorry to say, buuuuutt....

That issue was because of a Comcast DNS problem. Not because of Google and its PAID FOR access to the web.

That issue was already resolved when companies including Google, Microsoft and others said that they WILL NOT PAY EXTRA for extortion fees that ISPs want to charge.

Might be true. I read a lot of conflicting stories online about the incident, and I always have a hard time believing anything I read online. What I stated seemed to be the general consesus.
So saying someone is wrong based on what you as well have read online is just as daring. Sorry to say.

Daring or not. Reading better sources always helps to debunk lame rumors.

Official Comcast Response:
Quote
There was a hardware problem with one of our servers in Massachusetts today, which prevented a small number of customers in the area from connecting to some Web sites for a brief period of time. This was an isolated and random issue which we quickly resolved as soon as we became aware of it.

Comcast apologizes for any inconvenience this problem may have caused. Our goal is to provide a superior Internet experience for our customers, which includes being able to access all of the Web sites of their choice.

Now take it any way you want it. But Net Neutrality wolf alert doesn't work in this case.

Cox is also reportedly having problems with its DNS as well.
