I had to run quite a few errands this morning and my last earrand was near Game Stop.  I remembered that Factions would be released today so I decided to pick it up.  There were two guys ahead of me buying 4 XBOX's and there were two people working behind the counter.  The manager too care of large XBOX orders and the second employee seemed to either ignore me or was just caught up in the fact that these guys were buying so many XBOX's.  So I approach him and and asked if they had Guild Wars Factions.  He asked me "For what system?"   Huh?  I said for the PC as it's only released for the PC.  He looked behind the counter and pulled out what looks like Factions.  He then goes over to the game rack to see if any games are on the rack.  When he returns to the counters he shows me the box and asks if this is the game.  The box said Guild Wars Factions so I said yes.  While paying he tries to sell a whole bunch of stuff that I do not need that are not even related to Factions.  I politely said no thank you, I just want the game.  I paid and left.  I had no intention of installing the game today but since I wanted to create a new character decided to just do the install.  Then I look at the box it says something like pre-order only.  Hmmmm.  This can't be right.  I open the box, put CD in to install game and all of the security keys are for playing the beta.  I figured maybe the game is going to open up as today is the 28th.  After trying I realized I was SOLD the demo, not the game.  Pissed off, I called the store.  The manager picked up and I explained the situation.  He asked if I bought the game from his store.   Huh?  Yes sir I did.  How long ago did you buy it?   Huh?  About an hour ago?  It seems you were given the free demo and not the game, but we do have it in stock.  Do you have the receipt?   Sad  Yes I do.  Come down and we will take care of it.  So now I have to drive back down to this store to get this issue corrected.  Fortunately, I received my game, was given an apology, and I was off on my merry way.

I HATE that. The guy at Gamestop today asked if I wanted the strategy guide. I've been gaming since forever, I don't do strategy guides.

That must be why I don't to gamestop and more. That and it has gotten really hard to even find the PC games in the mountains of console stuff.

Most of the ones around me need to be re-named "Console Stop" as thats mainly what they do.  Console games.  They have no clue wth a pre-order is, or anything reguarding any pc games that dont pertain to a console system.  And their PC gaming section suxorz bad.

I tried to get mine from Wall-Mart at midnight like I said I would... ya... well that didnt work.  It wasnt there, when I asked one of the guys he was realyl really helpfull and looked in all the boxes on the floor, took me to the back and we searched around back there, but couldnt find it, he said it would probably show up later friday or early saturday.   But he was really really nice to me about it.

ON another note... while in wally world I decided to get "The Godfather" the game (wanna know his it was? just askand I'll post a reveiw if someone is interested) to tide me over till I could get my hands on it and was glancing over the x-box games when *poof*!  There it was!  Almost a month ago when Oblibion came out Wall-Mart had said they were going to stock the regular edition and the collectors edition, so naturaly I was going to get the collectors edition... but it wasnt there and the regular was so I got the regular... well some genius had put the Collectors edition in the x-box game case.  Big as life label on the front "PC DVD".  If I hadnt broken my Nikon I woulda gone and gotten it and taken a pic.   Pissed me off.  But what can I do now?  Nadda.

Factions is available from Circuit City (CC) for 49.99 plus your local tax but with free shipping thru mail order.  When using mail order, you also get a free $10 gift card.

Don't know if that will be of use for anyone without a local CC because I'm not sure that you can use one of their gift cards online.

I'm considering buying it online from CC but not sure I can wait for it to be delivered by mail.
